Uttaranchal University is one of the prestigious Universities situated in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It was first established as the Uttaranchal Institute of Technology. The UIT was later declared Uttaranchal University in 2013 after the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly passed the ‘Uttaranchal University Act, 2012’. Initially, it was also known as Law College Dehradun.

The University is approved by the University Grants Commission. Other than this, Uttaranchal University is approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), BCI (Bar Council of India), PCI (Pharmacy Council of India), and ICAR (Indian Council of Agriculture Research). It is also recognized with an NAAC A+ grade. 

Uttaranchal University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in law, engineering, agriculture, technology, hospitality & hotel management, pharmacy, media & communication, science, paramedical, nursing, liberal arts, applied & life sciences, computer applications, and management.

Admission procedure of Uttaranchal University 

Generally, the admission procedure at Uttaranchal University starts with filling out the registration form for the desired course, followed by an entrance test (if any) and a personal Interview round. 

Registration 

Registration for the Uttaranchal University course can be done through offline as well as online mode. The registration fee for Uttaranchal University is INR 1200. The details of offline and online registration are mentioned below –

Entrance Test

For admission to those programs in which the entrance examination is compulsory, the candidate must submit the score of the entrance exam in which they appeared. Further, the Admission department will select the candidate based on merit.

Personal Interview/ Group Discussion

For some specific programs like MBA, the candidate is required to go through a personal interview or group discussion round. This round is only taken for those programs in which communication plays a key role. This round also helps the faculty to analyze the capabilities of candidates.
