College of Engineering Roorkee University is a prestigious state University in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. College of Engineering Roorkee University was earlier known as College of Engineering Roorkee, which was founded in 1998 by Seth Roshan Lal Jain Trust. Since then, the institution has been one of the leading hubs for higher education in Uttarakhand and neighboring states. 

COER was granted the status of University on 15th February 2021 by the State Government of Uttarakhand. Today, COER is known as the COER University. COER University is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is affiliated to Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University.

College of Engineering Roorkee University collaborates with top higher education institutions, including IIT Roorkee, NITTTR Chandigarh, AIESEC in Delhi University, and Central Building Research Institute (CSIR-CBRI) Roorkee. 

The IIT Roorkee collaboration of COER University includes collaborative research and learning, visiting students, and visiting faculty. 

The international collaborations of COER University include Kuban State Agrarian University, the University of Kentucky, Debre Tabor University, International American University, and Southern Utah University.

COER University offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, diploma, and vocational courses across many streams. COER University provides courses in engineering, computer applications, pharmacy, agriculture, business management, nursing, paramedical sciences, and health sciences.

The University is known for its BTech and MTech curriculum. Admission to these two programs at COER University is offered on the basis of entrance examinations of JEE Mains and GATE.

Registration 

Entrance Test

The candidates must appear for the entrance examination to secure the seat during COER University admission. Candidates can appear for the national or state-level entrance examinations per the program's requirements.

Admission to the BTech program is offered based on the JEE Mains score, while lateral entry admission to the BTech program is given based on the UKSEE score. For admission to the MTech program, the candidate must appear in GATE.
