Galgotias University is one of the leading private Universities in Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 2011 in Gautam Buddh Nagar (Greater Noida), Uttar Pradesh. Smt Shakuntala Educational and Welfare Society sponsors the University.

It is recognised by the University Grants Commission and accredited with the NAAC A+ certificate for academic excellence. It is approved by the Bar Council of India, Pharmacy Council of India, National Council for Teacher Education, Indian Nursing Council, Council of Architecture and National Council of Hotel Management.

Currently, 62 undergraduate, 44 postgraduate, 25 doctoral, one certificate, 15 diploma, and five integrated courses are offered at Galgotias University.
