Motherhood University was established in 2015 at Roorkee, Uttarakhand. It is recognised as state University by Government of Uttarakhand. Motherhood University was founded by Shri K.D. SHARMA with the mission of creating world class academic system for global level achievement. Motherhood University is managed and operated by Motherhood Institute of Management & Technology Society. MIMT Society was founded in 2004 with the aim to offer excellent academic, research and training environment to the youth of Uttarakhand and the country.

The University Grants Commission and Bar Council of India recognise Motherhood University. Motherhood University is also approved by All India Council of Technical Education, Pharmacy Council of India, National Council for Teacher Education, Uttarakhand Nursing & Midewives Council, and Uttarakhand Paramedical Council. The University is offering 45 undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctoral programs across multiple streams. These 45 courses are provided under the following faculties of the University –

There are more than 200 faculty members teaching and guiding the students across all the programs. Generally Motherhood University offers admission to courses based on the academic merit while for admission to MBA program CAT or Mat score is preferred. For admission to PhD, University conducts a Research Aptitude Test (RAT) other than NET or JRF scores.

Entrance Exams conducted by Motherhood University

Motherhood University conducts an entrance test for admission to PhD degree program. This entrance examination is known as Research Aptitude Test (RAT). RAT is conducted annually for allocation of PhD seats in Motherhood University. The following are some key points of RAT –

·         Eligibility – Candidate must have a master’s degree in desired specialisation.

·         The center for Research Aptitude Test is held at the campus of Motherhood University.

·         Candidates those who have qualified NET/JRF/GATE can’t appear for the Research Aptitude Test.

·         The syllabus of Research Aptitude Test is available on the official website of the Motherhood University.

·         Candidates can apply only for Research Aptitude Test. The fees for RAT application form is INR 2000.

Motherhood University usually offer admission to various programs based on the merit of 10th, 12th and graduation marks. University prefers the MAT or CAT for admission to MBA program. For admission to PhD, University strictly asks for the score of entrance exams like NET/JRF/GATE. Candidate can also appear for the Motherhood University Research Aptitude Test (RAT) for admission to PhD.

To be eligible for the BBA program the student must have complete their intermediate in the science stream ,arts or commerce stream are eligible for the BBA program, the student must have a minimum 55% in its intermediate for the GEN/OBC/MINORITY, and 50% for the SC/ST, and the same eligibility criteria goes for the B.B.A .L.L.B, B.COM, B.COM (Hons).
