MTech Eligibility Criteria
The MTech eligibility criteria vary from college to college. Government colleges like IITs, NITs, and IIITs offer admission to Master of Technology based on the score of the entrance examination (GATE). MTech for Working Professionals
Many colleges across the country offer MTech for working professionals with flexible timings. The master of Technology program with distance learning is not valid in India. Hence, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) permitted colleges to offer MTech for working professionals.
The MTech for working professionals is similar to a regular Master of Technology degree, but the previous one is designed to meet the needs of professionals who are already employed. The curriculum of MTech for working professionals is designed in such a way as to provide timing flexibility with part-time classes.
The duration of MTech for working professionals is 2.5 years. The program is divided into 5 semesters to provide timing flexibility for the students. As per AICTE regulations, one extra semester is mandatory in MTech for working in a professional program.
